Indian forces resorted to ceasefire violation (CFV) along line of control (LoC), ISPR reported on Monday (today).
According to Pakistan Army’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian troops initiated ceasefire violation in Chirikot Sector along LOC deliberately targeting civil population with mortar.
One innocent civilian, age 45; is said to have been injured in indiscriminate and unprovoked cross-border shelling by Indian troops.
The injured are being provided medical care, said ISPR.
Prior to this, two Pakistan Army soldiers namely Lance Naik Tariq and Sepoy Zaroof were martyred in cross-border firing by India on December 10 last week.
Pakistan has repeatedly protested against blatant, unprovoked CFVs by Indian forces along LoC and Working Boundary targeting civilian population on the Pakistani side.
Cross-border shelling by Indian troops has resulted in several civilian casualties in Pakistan, with hundreds other being wounded due to Indian aggression this year so far.
