The Civil Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday to continue the halt on domestic flights in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
This means an extension of 16 days in suspension of domestic flight operations.
Official announcement was made through a notice to airmen (NOTAM) in this regard stating that domestic flights will be banned till May 29, 11:59 pm.
However, special and chartered flights are exempt from this directive.
The ban was imposed till May 13, 11:59 pm before this extension.
On May 7, the aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan had said that it has been decided in the meeting of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) to resume domestic flight operations.
