The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued new set of guidelines for airports across the country amid increasing COVID-19 cases.
According to details, the regulatory body has issued new directives restricting guests to receive any passenger at the airport.
Only driver will be allowed to pick and drop passengers at airports across the country.
“Attention passenger: As per the instructions of the Government of Pakistan, in order to curb the spread of COVID-19; meeters and greeters are not allowed at the Airport,” read statement issued by CAA.
Only driver may pick-up the passenger from parking and drop the passenger on drop lane. Drivers will stay in the vehicle during pick or drop, the statement added.
CAA has urged the public to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions and preventive measures to curb further spread of the novel virus.
Pakistan’s COVID-19 tally stands at 336,260 cases with 6,894 casualties so far, whereas 315,446 people have recovered from the novel virus.
According to NCOC, 1,167 COVID-19 cases along with 14 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
