Federal Minister of Industries and Production Hammad Azhar, on Friday, presented the federal government’s budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 with Rs 2,874 billion allocated for the provinces.
According to details, the Budget 2020-21 has allocated a total sum of Rs 2 8,874 billion for the provinces. The province wise distribution can be observed with Sindh getting Rs 742 billion, Punjab Rs 1,439 billion, Balochistan – Rs 265 billion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Rs 472 billion, Azad Kashmir – Rs 72 billion and Rs 32 billion have been allocated to Gilgit Baltistan.

It is to be noted that Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has previously written to Prime Minister Imran Khan on multiple occasions, citing concerns and reservations over the issue of formulation of 10th National Finance Commission (NFC).
