Mohammed Rafaqat – a British born Pakistani, is running ‘Kashmiri Lives Matter’ campaign in United Kingdom to highlight Indian atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per details, Mohammad Rafaqat owns around 100 private hire cars which are being used to highlight and apprise the world regarding Indian atrocities in the disputed valley.
The cars are wrapped in ‘Kashmiri Lives Matter’ posters along with images showcasing Indian brutalities against the people of Kashmir.
These vehicles operate in the Greater Manchester area, northwest England and provide taxi and delivery services.
Other slogans showcased on these cars include ‘India! Stop Genocide in Kashmir’ and ‘End Indian occupation of Kashmir’.
Furthermore, the posters on these vehicles underscore the fact that Indian forces have killed more than 100,000 Kahsmiris demanding their right to self-determination and opposing illegal Indian occupation of the disputed valley.
In a statement, Mohammad Rafaqat said that he hoped that his cars will duly apprise the British people, and the world regarding Indian human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
My cars operate in Manchester and the surrounding areas and I hope that everyday thousands of people watch these cars passing by. The whole point is to show to English community and others that Kashmiri Lives Matter too, he said.
I am prepared to spend as much as I can. I will do anything for my people in Kashmir, he added.
Rafaqat has been inspired by the global ‘Black Lives Matter’ campaign against segregation, brutalities and oppression on racial basis.
Local residents have duly noticed these vehicles with several of them stopping and taking pictures and making videos of the distinctive awareness campaign.
