Mehbooba Mufti – the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has raiser her concerns regarding BJP’s Hindutva policies against minorities are validating Jinnah’s two-nation theory.
The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader on Tuesday, took to social media to condemn Narendra Modi led Bhartia Janta Party’s (BJP) fascist and Hindutva policies against religious minorities in India.
She highlighted that Indian states like Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh (MP) are moving towards semi-autonomous status and exclusive rights, whereas Jammu and Kashmir whose special status was guaranteed by the constitution itself has been deprived of constitutional rights and provisions.
“While states like Nagaland & MP are moving towards semi-autonomous status & exclusive rights for locals, J&K entitled to all of this constitutionally has been robbed because it is Muslim dominant,” she tweeted.
Furthermore, she stressed upon the fact that BJP’s India has no place for minorities and is essentially validating Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s two nation theory.

It is to be noted that Mehbooba Mufti, who served as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from April 4th 2016 till June 19th 2018, has been in illegal detention along with several other Kashmiri leaders and politicians by Indian government since August 5th 2019 – the day Indian government abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which guaranteed special autonomous status to the disputed valley.
Her detention was extended in February 2020 under the notorious Public Safety Act (PSA).
