A National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court on Tuesday, issued bailabale arrest warrant for Asif Ali Zardari in Toshakhana Case.
An accountability court on Tuesday, carried out the hearing of Toshakhana Case and issued bailable arrest warrant for Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
During the hearing Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H Naek contended that his client will be present at the next hearing.
Expressing his views on Zardari’s refusal to appear before the court, citing COVID-19 concerns Mr Naek stated that if Asif Ali Zardari was to appear before the court a large number of people will gather in the compound which will increase risk of spread of the novel coronavirus.
Responding to Mr Naek’s arguments, Justice Asghar said that the court will fix a substantial long date for Mr Zardari’s court appearance and he must appear before the court at the next hearing.
