DUBAI: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has lost his number one spot in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I Rankings for batters.
The right-handed batter has struggled for runs in the first two T20Is against West Indies, scoring a duck and 7 in the first two matches of the series and has dropped down to the third spot with England s Dawid Malan and South Africa s Aiden Markram overtaking him.
Azam amassed 27 runs in 3 T20Is against the hosts. Babar has accumulated 7 runs in two innings against the visiting West Indies team.
Although Babar Azam s performances have not been up to the mark, Pakistan have won all five T20Is. They whitewashed Bangladesh 3-0 and have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against West Indies.
In the T20 bowling rankings, Shadab Khan has moved up one place to 9th position. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is ranked 11th in the bowling rankings. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has moved up from 5th to 3rd position in the Test bowling rankings.
