Pakistan Cricket Team Captain, Babar Azam has been ruled out of second test match against New Zealand.
As per details, Babar Azam will not be included in the second test match against New Zealand scheduled on January 3rd at Hagley Oval, Christchurch pertaining to his thumb injury.
Babar Azam is said to have participated in training session on Friday and reported mild pain in his thumb upon which team management decided to not include him in the squad as a precaution and to avoid any further issues.
According to Dr Sohail Saleem – Pakistan team’s physician, Babar Azam has not yet fully recovered from his injure.
Babar’s injury is being constantly reviewed and he is likely to be available for the upcoming home series against South Africa.
Pakistan’s lineup for secont test match against New Zealand include Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Fawad Alam, Haris Sohail, Imran Butt, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Sohail Khan, Yasir Shah and Zafar Gohar.
It is pertinent to know that Pakistan is trailing behind New Zealand in the two-match test series by 1-0.
