An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday, handed life imprisonment to the three suspects accused in Imran Farooq Murder Case.
ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand read the court’s verdict announcing life imprisonment sentences to the three individuals accused of killing Dr Imran Farooq, namely Khalid Shamim, Mohsin Ali and Mauzzam Ali.
Furthermore, the court has also directed the three suspects to pay Rs 1 million each to Dr Imran Farooq’s family as compensation.

The court had reserved its judgement on May 21, whereas a total of 29 witnesses had testified in the case.
Prior to this, members of British investigation agency Scotland Yard had visited Pakistan back in February to assist and cooperate with Pakistani authorities in Imran Farooq Murder Case.
Dr Imran Farooq was a founding member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and a former close aid to its leader Altaf Hussain. He fled Pakistan in 1999 and was residing in United Kingdom, where he was murdered in September 2010
