Armies of Pakistan and Turkey are holding joint military exercise ATATURK-XI to further boost bilateral security cooperation and ties between the two countries.
As per details, militaries of Pakistan and Turkey have kicked off their joint exercise titled ATATURK-XI. The opening ceremony of the joint military exercise was held at Special Service (SSG) Headquarters, Tarbela, Pakistan.
Special forces from both countries will participate in the joint military exercise which will include counter-terrorism drills, close quarter battle (CQB), cordon and search, rappelling, fire and move techniques, helicopter rappelling, compound clearance, hostage and rescue and free fall operations
The joint military drills will further improve bilateral security cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey as the two countries already share extensive military cooperation.
It is pertinent to know that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on his visit to Pakistan in January last month, had apprised Ankara’s decision to deepen its defense cooperation with Pakistan.
