BEIJING: 39 new cases of asymptomatic coronavirus have been reported in Mainland China, on Monday, that has become the concern for the government of China that recently passed the first wave of the pandemic last month.
The National Health Commission of China has confirmed 48 cases countrywide.
705 patients of asymptomatic coronavirus are under treatment in Hubei Province whose capital- Wuhan, is believed to be the place where the pandemic was originated.
Asymptomatic coronavirus patients do not show symptoms of the virus yet they could transmit the infection to another person.
The Chinese government has reported the cases since last week when Wuhan was preparing to open the city on April 8 with “epidemic free” to allow citizens to step out of homes first time since the lockdown in January.
However, the government aims to allow the people to leave home for only two hours from April 8 because of the new asymptomatic cases.
China had 81, 708 cases of COVID-19 with 3,331 deaths in the first wave of coronavirus.
