The Accountability Court on Friday, has announced to indict Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane Reference on August 10.
During the hearing pertaining to the former president Asif Ali Zardari’s Park Lane Reference case accountability court Judge Azam Khan turned down Asif Ali Zardri’s petition against the reference in which he had sought the dismissal of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against him.
The court announced to indict PPP co-chairman in Park Lane Reference on August 10, stating that written order in this regard will be issued later in the day.
The development comes as earlier, Asif Ali Zardari in a petition, had challenged accountability court’s jurisdiction to address the Park Lane Reference against him.

Prior to this Asif Ali Zardari’s indictment in Park Lane Reference was deferred on July 6 after his lawyer Farooq H Naek had filed a last minute petition against the case filed by NAB.
It is to be noted that NAB has accused Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur of extending loan and its misappropriation by M/s Parthenon Private Limited, M/S Park Lane Estate Private Limited and are being tried by NAB under NAB Ordinance, 1999, and the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010.
