Islamabad: Usman Dar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, has announced that at least 300,000 people have registered for the Corona Relief Tiger Force established by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Attending a meeting at Prime Minister Office, Usman Dar informed the country’s chief executive that around 300,000 youth from across the country have so far joined Corona Relief Tiger Force.
According to Dar, registration drives for the Tiger Force which would continue till 10th of April, 2020.
As per the details, over 339,144 have registered themselves and of these, 330,531 are males, 8310 are females. Punjab is leading with 234,022 volunteers, followed by Sindh with 50,616 registrations. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is third in terms of its total number of youth registered with 41,890 members.
Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan have registered 5,233 and 1,141 volunteers respectively.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has established Corona Relief Tiger Force to assist government officials and institutions in distributing rations to the needy across the nation as a country-wide lockdown has been imposed to contain the coronavirus spread.
