Islamabad: As the number of registered corona virus cases in Pakistan jumped to 16, around 12,000 corona virus testing kits have been imported from china to facilitate Pakistani authorities in screening and identifying of possible corona virus victims. The kits were officially requested by Government of Pakistan, with a cost of US$ 2,000 each.
Earlier, Japan also donated corona virus testing kits to National Institute of Health (NIH).
Prior to this, Chinese officials have also offered their support to Pakistan over the issue of locust swarms and along with corona virus testing kits, around 50 tons of pesticide and 15 spray machines were also received by Pakistani authorities.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing, has reiterated Chinese support to help Pakistani in tackling locust swarms as they have wreaked havoc on agricultural sector.
