KARACHI: Abbasi Shaheed Hospital has confirmed the news that a female doctor has been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Saturday.
Hospital administration says that the doctor may have contracted the virus from her husband who was diagnosed with it earlier administration says that it is expected that the lady has caught the virus from her husband who was diagnosed as positive recently.
The administration has tested and quarantined the doctors and staff that may have come into contact with the female doctor for two weeks.
Earlier, two doctors were reported to have contracted coronavirus on March 27 at Primary and Secondary Health Care Department in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Last month, a 26-year-old doctor, Dr. Usama Riaz, lost his life in Gilgit-Baltistan when he caught the virus during screening of the residents.
According to the latest reports, there are more than 2700 patients of the pandemic and the death tally has increased to 41 in Pakistan.
