According to British media, sons of the Princess of Wales, Prince William and Prince Harry, may be faced with distress if an upcoming Netflix documentary on the life of their mother, that aims to showcase the miseries that may have led to affecting the mental health of Princess, sees the light. Series will claim that the Princess made four suicide attempts before losing her life in a car accident.
A TV company, DSP is working on a detailed four-part documentary on the highs and lows of the life of the late Princess of Wales.
According to The Sun, the documentary series is titled as ‘Being Me: Diana’ and it aims to unearth the alleged mental health issues that the Princess was faced with. It claims to uncover the truths about her unhappy marriage, eating disorders and all her mental health battles that allegedly led to four suicide attempts.
The documentary will use exclusive and never-seen-before footages from Princess Diana’s speeches delivered between 1990 and 1992 and interviews with people close to her.
As per DSP, the aim of the documentary is to cast a light on the Princess of Wales’ inner turmoil before her split from the Prince of Wales in 1992.
Media reports from Britain suggest that the filmmakers of the series claim that the documentary may upset both the sons of Princess Diana and spark many controversies through the claims about their mother’s mental health.
Four-part series ‘Being Me: Diana’ will lift the lid on the tragic Princess’ battles from her early years of troubled childhood right through to her unhappy marriage to Prince Charles.
Aged 36, Princess Diana had departed for the other world in a tragic car accident on August 31, 1997. It is claimed that the Princess was murdered, that the accident was a ploy.
Diana and her alleged boyfriend, Egyptian billionaire Emad “Dodi” Fayed, had arrived at Paris in August 1997. They dined at the private salon at the Ritz Hotel in Paris. A few minutes past midnight on August 31, Diana and Fayed left the hotel and got into the Mercedes Benz, likely to travel to Fayed’s private Parisian estate.
The car met an accident when the driver allegedly lost control of the car and collided into a pillar in the middle of the highway.
The driver and Fayed were pronounced dead at the scene, and Diana was rushed to the Hospital. Early reports said Diana was suffering from a concussion, broken arm, and cut thigh. However, the princess had also suffered massive chest injuries. Operating for two hours, doctors tried, and failed, to get Diana’s heart beating properly again.
She never regained consciousness and passed away from internal bleeding at 4:53 on the morning of August 31, 1997.
The accident remains a mystery, with many conspiracy theories persisting till the day.
Though more than two decades have passed since the death of the Princess, but she is still remembered and revered for her persona and humanitarian services. She is still known as the “People’s Princess” because of her widespread popularity and therefore, any events or news attached to her life catch attention of many.
‘Being Me: Diana’ series is rumored to planned for Netflix, but it has yet to be commissioned by the streaming platform, claims The Sun.
