Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Monday, announced to have arrested the prime suspect in Charsadda toddler rape case.
Addressing a press-briefing Kamran Bangash – KP government spokesperson said that the police has apprehended the prime suspect involved in Charsadda toddler rape case.
The accused Lal Muhammad – 47, is a local resident and is the prime suspect accused of rape and murder of 2 ½ old Zainab.
The police had earlier taken DNA samples of more than 65 suspect to identify the individual/s behind the heinous crime.
within three days of the crime, which was committed on October 6, the police had taken Muhammad into custody and had started its investigation, said Kamran Bangash.
The toddler’s body was found on October 7th in Jabba Korona area in the limits of Daudzai police station – Peshawar after she went missing a day earlier in Sheikh Kallay Qilla area on October 6th.
KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had taken notice of the incident directing law enforcement agencies to apprehend the culprit/s as soon as possible.
Kamran Bangash terming the incident as a ‘blind case’, lauded the police team for solving the case and apprehending the prime suspect within one week.
