Pakistan has challenged India to carry out an opinion poll of Kashmiris all around the world regarding its illegal and unilateral actions of August 5th 2019 regarding Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
In a statement, FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi reiterated that Kashmiri diaspora around the world have overwhelmingly denounced India’s unilateral actions in the disputed valley.
The foreign minister challenged India to hold a poll of aspirations of Kashmiris regarding the revocation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and abrogation of special autonomous status of the valley.
If Kashmiris around the world reject these unilateral measures in this referendum, India will have to reconsider its decisions, noted FM Qureshi.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi stressed that India’s announcement to convene a conference on Thursday indicates that ‘all is not well’ in the disputed valley as previously claimed by Indian government.
Expressing his views on Afghan Peace Process and troops withdrawal, FM Qureshi raised concerns over the fact that Afghan internal stakeholders are not on one page for peace efforts.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment and continued support for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
Pakistan wants peace and stability in Afghanistan Pakistan is part of Afghan solution and ready to play a role in this regard. Islamabad is playing all possible roles to move forward the peace process to a successful stage, said the foreign minister.
