The National Disaster and Management Authority (NDMA) has issued rain advisory for Karachi and various other parts of Sindh in wake of Met Department’s heavy rain forecast for Sindh.
The NDMA has issues its advisory directing people to exercise excessive caution to prevent any loss of life and property during the monsoon spell in Sindh.
Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro, Kotri, Tando Muhammad Khan, Nawabshahexperienced sporadic downpour throughout the night with scattered light and heavy showers in various parts of the cities.
In Karachi Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Lyari, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Surjani, North Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Defence, Manzoor Colony, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony reported light and heavy showers.
Several low lying areas in Karachi are inundated due to continuous heavy rains and inefficient drainage system.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted torrential rain in Karachi and various other parts of Sindh this week for Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Tharparker, Nagarparker, Mirpurkhas, Islam Kot, Umar Kot, Sanghar, Sukkur, Larkana and other parts of Sindh.
Furthermore, Balochistan is also expected to receive rainfall with thunderstorms expected in Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran, Barkhan, Zhob, Musa Khel, Loralai, Kohlu, Sibbi and other areas.
