Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, on Saturday, released a video of Habib Jan Baloch – a close aid of notorious Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch.
Ali Zaidi took to social media to post the video of Habib Jan Baloch confessing and unveiling the extensive cooperation and between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch.
In the video, Habib Jan Baloch confessed that post 2012 Lyari operation, PPP reached out to Uzair Baloch and offered Rs 50 million to re-join the party – an offer the Lyari gangster accepted.
Following Uzair Baloch’s inclusion in PPP, senior party leaders including the likes of CM Qaim Ali Shah, Sharmila Farooqi, Faryal Talpur and others, claims Habib Jan Baloch.

Expressing his views on Uzair Baloch’s influence in the PPP government, Habib Jan revealed that Uzair Baloch had extensive influence in administrative matters of the province, and even influenced and controlled the transfer of senior police officers such as Inspector General (IG) Sindh, whereas Interior Ministry, under Rehman Malik was also closely associated with the Lyari gang war leader.
Habin Jan also claimed that PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari met with Uzair Baloch and to discuss matters pertaining to the possibility of former’s adopted brother Owais Muzaffar aka ‘tappi’ contesting in elections from Lyari – a prospect opposed by Uzair Baloch.
The confessional video comes as Sindh government has been accused by Ali Zaidi of tempering with Uzair Baloch JIT report and intentionally excluding the names of senior PPP leaders from the report in a bid to cover PPP-Uzair Baloch nexus.
