Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has appointed Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu as its new Chief of Air Staff (CAS). He is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Air War College and Royal College of Defence Studies, UK.
The newly appointed CAS, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu will replace his outgoing predecessor Air Chief Marshall (ACM) Mujahid Anwar Khan.

President Arif Alvi approved the appointment of Air Marshall Zaheer Ahmad Babar as PAF Chief on advice of PM Imran Khan.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar is the son of renowned religious scholar Ghulam Mohammad. He is the third chief of a military service who hails from Gujrat. He joined the PAF back in 1986 as fighter pilot and has served as head of fighter squadron, an operational airbase and regional air commander.
His staff appointments also include Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operation Research & Development); Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Training Officers); Director General Projects at Air Headquarters Islamabad; Additional Secretary at Ministry of Defence.
For his services to the nation, Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu has been awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military).
