At least eight Afghan security personnel are reported to have been killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan on Saturday (today).
As per details, a suicide bomber targeted Afghan security personnel with his explosive-laid vehicle in country’s Nangarhar province.
Ajmal Omar – deputy head of Nangarhar provincial council has confirmed the incident putting the number of deceased soldiers at 15 with another 5 who were injured in the attack.
United States has expressed concerns regarding recent surge in violence in Afghanistan in light of the US-Taliban peace deal signed in February 2020 last year.
Zabihuallah Mujahid – Afghan Taliban spokesperson, has admitted the responsibility for the deadly attack.
Furthermore, security forces have also seized another explosive laden vehicle near Jalalabad.
Meanwhile, two roadside bombs jolted Kabul today. No casualties were reported in the incident.
