PM Imran Khan on Tuesday (today) held a telephonic question and answers session with public and answered people’s queries over a wide range of issues.
During the telephonic question and answers session which was moderated by PTI’s Senator Faisal Javed, PM Imran Khan exchanged views with public over varying issues including, corruption, Kashmir and relations with India, prevailing COVID-19 situation, economy, inflation, housing sector problems, climate change, education, judicial system and others and others.
The telephonic interactive session has been launched under the ‘Aapka Wazir- e-Azam Aap Kai Sath’ title which aims at countering the communications gap between the people and the government. The session was participated by a several people who directly spoke to the premier via dialing 051-9224900

Responding to people’s queries, PM Imran Khan addressed the COVID-19 situation in the country and underscored the need to adhere to preventive measures and SOPs. Referring to the worsening COVID-19 situation in neighboring India, the prime minister warned the public that the government will be forced to implement strict lockdown to save people’s lives.
People must wear face masks and ensure social distancing to prevent the virus spread, he said.
PM Imran Khan also categorically negated any possibility of any type of dialogue with India unless its illegal abrogation of Article 370 is revoked and Kashmir’s especial autonomous status is restored.
The premier also accentuated the threat posed by corruption and how it effects a country. He reiterated his commitment to fight corrupt elements in the country and highlighted government’s anti-corruption efforts.
“I will never give NRO to anyone, not because I care about votes. I promise that people and entities responsible for the increase in the prices of sugar will not be given any relief. I will never give them an NRO,” said PM Imran Khan.
Responding to question regarding his cabinet’s and ministers’ performance, PM Imran Khan said that not everyone is equal in a team. Those who fail to perform will be removed and duly replaced, reassured the prime minister.
Addressing the issue of increasing inflation and prevailing economic indicators, the premier said that said he has brought Shaukat Tarin as the Finance Minister with the responsibility to bring down the prices of essential commodities and take the economy towards growth.
Electricity has direct impact on the inflation, but still we have managed to keep the petrol prices and diesel lower as we realize that no more burden can be put on the masses.
Apprising of government’s efforts regarding introducing low-cost housing schemes, PM Imran Khan reassured that the government is developing low-cost housing.
He also stressed upon government’s pro-environment efforts and various initiatives to tackle the threat posed by climate change. we are planting 10 billion across the country.
We plan to clean our rivers, plan our city expansions, create green spaces in our cities, he said.
Furthermore, PM Imran Khan also highlighted the flaws in country’s current judicial and justice system. There are two types of law. Rule of law is where the law is equal for everyone. Another is the law of the jungle, where the powerful can get away with violating the law. When I say Riyasat-e-Madina, it doesn’t mean we will have quick solutions. Money laundering is not just our issue, but a problem in every poor country, he noted.
