Federal Minister for Information Affairs Shibli Faraz has said that a complete lockdown has proved a failure not in in provinces in Pakistan but in nay countries of the world.
He said the pandemic has hit the laborer class worst.
Talking about the Ehsaas Program, he said, “Had we desired any political mileage through the Rs200 billion-package, we could have distributed it through our party but we introduced a proper mechanism for this distribution to ensure transparency.”
Regarding resumption of industries, he said that we have opened a few industries and are tightening the SOPs to make sure no damage ensue due to the infection.
He said that since the 18th Amendment came into action, provinces can decide for their jurisdiction independently. The federal government’s role is to provide balance and essential guidelines only.
