Iftikhar Shallwani – Commissioner Karachi, has approved the conducting of collective slaughter of animals on Eid ul Azha 2020.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner Office Karachi, collective slaughter in the metropolitan city will be carried out in cooperation with various welfare organizations and NGOs.
According to details, Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani has instructed welfare organizations including Edhi Foundation, Chhipa Welfare Association, Saylani Welfare Trust, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Jamia Binoria Site and Daawat-e-Islami and others to make necessary arrangements for online booking of animals in wake of Eid ul Azha 2020.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioners (DCs), of all the six districts have been directed to further assist and facilitate these organizations to carry out collective slaughter services on Eid ul Azha.

Furthermore, as per the government’s initiative, the welfare organizations will also deliver meat to the people who have registered via online bookings in a bid to abstain people from gathering in large crowds in one place in wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Iftikhar Shallwani has urged the citizens to utilize the online services for sacrificial animals provided by NGOs and welfare organizations as this will significantly reduce any further possibility of coronavirus spread.
