Karachi: Minister for Local Government, Nasir Hussain Shah has stated that Sindh government might consider imposition of strict curfew as a result of lack of cooperation from masses.
Nasir Hussain Shah has pointed out that people have not been abiding by restrictions imposed by the government to contain coronavirus outbreak and hence, government might consider imposing curfew in order to curtail them.
“I humbly request the people to fully cooperate in this unprecedented pandemic crises to prevent the spread of #COVID_19 & adhere to the principles prescribed for social distancing otherwise, Sindh Govt will be compelled to take further extra ordinary steps,” he tweeted.
Provincial minister reiterated the significance of national unity and the need to follow the guidelines issued by authorities to curb the virus spread.
Sindh government has imposed a 15-day lockdown amid coronavirus spread in the province. Educational institutions have also been closed till May 30 as Sindh remains the most affected province of the country with 394 confirmed coronavirus cases.
