In a first, 38 Pakistani exporters will get registered with US retail giant Amazon.
Pakistan’s economy is expected to take a giant leap of progress as Pakistan’s traders and exporters will soon be registered with Amazon, resulting in an exponential growth for their reach and future business possibilities.

As per the details, Abdul Razak Dawood – Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, on Thursday, announced that the government has shortlisted the companies to be registered with Amazon, and the list has already been provided to the US retail giant.
Presiding over the second meeting of the National E-commerce Council, Mr Dawood highlighted the significance of e-commerce in modern era and that it has become an essential element of economic growth and development.

In addition to it, the meeting was attended by representatives from State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Consumer Protection Councils of Punjab, consumer Rights Commission of Pakistan Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and various other government institutions.
During the meeting, it was revealed, that a total of 152 businesses have so far registered themselves on SECP’s portal, which in fact has reduced the registration process to a mere four hours.
