Federal Minister for Petroleum Omar Ayub, on Thursday, reaffirmed that the fuel crisis will be overcome within the next three days.
Talking to the media outside Peshawar High Court (PHC), Omar Ayub said that the federal government is committed in ensuring that the public is able to benefit from the reduction in petroleum prices.
Expressing his views on the current fuel shortage in the country, the federal minister reiterated that the government is taking strict measures against the oil manufacturing companies involved in creating artificial fuel shortage in the country.

“This is the first time that action is being taken against this mafia,” he noted.
Furthermore, Omar Ayub revealed that FIRs have been lodged against companies and entities involved in hoarding and intentionally reducing the fuel supply creating a 30 per cent deficit in demand and supply of fuel.

The PHC, while taking notice if the fuel crisis had summoned Omar Ayub regarding the matter, and remarked that fuel stations are not implanting coronavirus SOPs, public has already faced wheat and sugar crisis and now they’ve been left dealing with this fuel crisis as well.
