An accountability court extended judicial remand of Ahad Cheema in assets beyond means case till June 13 on Tuesday.
Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry presided over the hearing of the assets beyond means case against the former Director General (DG) Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Ahad Cheema filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
During the hearing a witnessed recorded his statement regarding the case, whereas the court has ordered more witnessed to be presented for the case to be concluded.

The court upon hearing the witness’s testimony, prosecution’s and defense counsel’s arguments extended the judicial remand of Ahad Cheema till June 13.
Prior to this, Ahad Cheema was arrested back in February this year on charges of misusing his authority as DG LDA and granting a contract to a ‘preferred’ contractor that was ineligible for the job.
It is to be noted that NAB has accused Ahad Cheema of failing to provide satisfactory money trail regarding his assets worth up to Rs 600 million.
