Ten more employees of National Assembly (NA), on Friday, tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.
According to the tests reports prepared by National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, ten more employees of the lower house of the parliament have tested positive for the novel virus taking the total number of National Assembly employees to 30 who have been affected by coronavirus in the past three days.
NIH has also written to National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, providing him the details of the affected employees and parliament members.

Earlier, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, citing coronavirus concerns, announced that he will not be attending the parliamentary session and called for a virtual meeting in wake of the virus pandemic.
It is to be noted that both upper and lower houses of parliament are meeting today while strictly adhering to COVID-19 preventive measures and guidelines recommended by healthcare experts.
It is pertinent to know that Pakistan’s coronavirus tally stands at 90,020 cases, with 31,202 recoveries and 1,838 deaths so far.
