18 doctors serving at Lahore General Hospital, tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus on Thursday.
According to the Medical Superintendent (MS) Lahore General Hospital, 18 doctors working at the orthopaedic ward have tested positive for the novel virus, following which the orthopaedic ward has been closed for three days.
As per the details, the head of orthopaedic ward has also written to the administration, urging them to quarantine the remaining doctors and staff and closing down the ward for at least 10 days as precautionary measure.
Mahmood Tariq – MS Lahore General Hospital has stated that the ward has already been disinfected to prevent any further spread of COVID-19.
Furthermore, three doctors and
two nurses at Institute of Neuroscience are also reported to be affected by
coronavirus.
