Dr Akhtar Nazir, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Services, has taken charge as Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
According to the notification issued by ECP, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has approved the posting of Dr Akhtar Nazir as Secretary ECP, and he is to take charge with immediate effect.
It is to be noted that, previously Dr Akhtar Nazir had been serving at ECP on deputation basis on standard rules and regulations issued by Establishment Division on May 13.
Prior to this, Zafar Iqbal Hussain, another BS-21 officer was serving as Secretary ECP, following this development he has been posted Special Secretary ECP.
