Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi, on Wednesday, has tested negative for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Following his recovery from the novel virus, the independent senator from the former FATA region, announced his decision to attend Senate session scheduled on Thursday.
It is pertinent to know that Senator Mirza Mohammad Afridi had tested positive for coronavirus on April 28. The senator was involved in ration distribution in various areas of Peshawar, following which he registered some of the basic symptoms and got tested, which later came back positive indicating that he had contracted the novel virus.
The senator had been in self-isolation in his house in Lahore.
Earlier, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail also announced that his COVID-19 tests had come back negative, whereas Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar on Tuesday, announced his recovery from the novel virus.
Pakistan has reported a total of 35,101 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 9,417 recoveries and 753 deaths so far.
