At least 52 more Pakistanis arrived at the Jinnah International Airport after being deported from seven different countries including Saudi Arabia, United States and Sweden for various reasons.
Three of them, flying from Saudi Arabia and the US were arrested at the Karachi Airport, while others were allowed to go home.
Sources affiliated with the immigration department revealed that two people blacklisted by Saudi Arabia were sent back to Pakistan, while 11 others were deported for overstaying in the Kingdom, nine on the complaint of sponsor, and seven for losing their passports or visas.
Moreover, two for alleged drugs smuggling and begging, 11 others were deported for various issues.
Meanwhile, one Pakistani citizen was sent back for illegal stay in Sweden and two for illegal entry into the US and lost passport,
The deportees also included a Pakistani sent back from Oman for visa expiration, one illegal resident and two other overstayers from United Arab Emirates.
Separately, three children, born to Pakistani parents in Nepal, Saudi Arabia and Malawi, were sent to Pakistan on emergency documents
At least 13 passengers trying to fly abroad were also intercepted.
The staff of Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Immigration Cell offloaded Umrah pilgrims Sundara Bibi Abdul Khaliq, Haq Nawaz, Ikramullah, Samiullah and Ahsanullah for having no advance hotel booking and adequate amount for expenses.
