Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minallah, on Friday, has tested negative for COVID-19 coronavirus.
As per the details, the top IHC judge took a COVID-19 test after his secretary Asad Khokar had tested positive for coronavirus earlier.
Mr Khokar was instructed to practice self-isolation in home, while the CJ’s office, along with the IHC building was sealed and disinfected following the development.
Furthermore, IHC judges along with the court staff and administration was also tested for coronavirus, while other employees are also being tested in batches as a precautionary measure.
Prior to this, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed and his family were also tested for coronavirus after a Supreme Court’s naib-qasid was diagnosed with the coronavirus. However, the top Supreme Court judge and his family tested negative for the novel virus on April 14.
