The opposition has filed a requisition to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, seeking a senate session on the issue of coronavirus.
As per the details, senators of the opposition parties have signed the requisition calling Chairman Senate to convene a session of the upper house on the issue of coronavirus crisis in the country.
The agenda formulated by the opposition also includes the discussion on the government’s steps in dealing with the coronavirus outbreak, economic repercussions of the virus pandemic, issues pertaining to national security and foreign policy, Indian atrocities in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and segregation and marginalization of Muslims in India amid virus outbreak.
The development comes as Babar Awan, on Tuesday, confirmed that a session of National Assembly (NA) is scheduled for May 11 at 3 pm. The primary agenda of the NA session will be the coronavirus crisis, its repercussions and government’s efforts in this regard, he added.
