Indian forces, on Wednesday, martyred four Kashmiri youth in Indian Occupied Kashmir in Shopian district, says Kashmir Media Service.
Indian officials reported that the individuals were killed in a ‘firefight’ with Indian Army and paramilitary forces when the latter had cordoned off the area and were conducting search operation in the Melhora locality of the district.
Internet services have also been suspended as Indian occupying forces have restricted all entrance and exit points of the area.
Kashmiris have been subjected to Indian state sponsored terrorism under the label of anti-terror ops. On April 8, Indian forces reported to have killed a ‘militant’ in a gunfight in Arampora village in northern Baramulla district.
While on April 5, nine freedom fighters were martyred in Indian occupied Kashmir in a firefight with Indian troops that also killed one Indian soldier.
Indian government has enforced draconian laws in the valley to suppress the plight and outcry of Kashmiris against Indian brutalities. Earlier, a 26-year-old Kashmiri photojournalist, Masrat Zahra, was accused of anti-national activities under the notorious Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), which allows authorities to designate individuals as terrorists.
