The Supreme Court registrar has directed the district administration to ensure security of the apex court in view of the possible sit-in protest of the PDM, led by the JUI-F, on Monday.
The registrar had convened an important meeting related to security in view of the protest announced by the PDM outside the court on Monday. The district administration has been ordered to ensure foolproof security. The Islamabad deputy commission, the AIG Special Branch, SSP (security) and the capital police chief also attended the meeting. DGI security and SSP operations were also expected to attend the meeting. The Supreme Court SP was also instructed to ensure participation in the meeting. The meeting was supposed to review the security arrangements in view of the PDM’s protest sit-in. The matter of allowing protests and sit-ins in the Red Zone will also be considered.
