Queen Elizabeth cancelled her 94th birthday as the country battles with the deadly outbreak on Saturday.
There would be no gun salutes since it would not be suitable while the nation is struggling.
“We will not be marking Her Majesty’s birthday in any special way’ this year due to the #coronavirus crisis,” Chris Ship, ITV reporter tweeted.
Stately weapon salutes are basically fired from different area across London, to mark special events, for example, commemorations and birthday celebrations.
As per a New York Times database, United Kingdom’s cases have rose up to 108,000 and 14,576 people have died due to the outbreak.
