Director-General Inter-Services Intelligence Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid, on Wednesday, met with Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss matters pertaining to national security.
“Director General ISI Lt Gen Faiz Hamid called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today,” read the statement issued by the Prime Minister Office.
No details have yet been released as to what was discussed in the meeting specifically. The ISI chief and Prime Minister have had frequent meetings and only the few meetings are made public via Prime Minister Office.
As per unconfirmed sources, this is the second meeting between the Prime Minister and DG ISI since April 13.
The development comes as earlier, on April 15, Brigadier Mohammad Ahmed had assumed the charge of Military Secretary to Prime Minister Imran Khan, replacing Brig Naseem Iftikhar Cheema.
Prior to this, Prime Minister Imran Khan, COAS General Bajwa and DG ISI General Faiz Hamid had met on the sidelines of a meeting of National Coordination Committee on Monday.
