The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has made COVID-19 vaccination certificate now mandatory for domestic air travel.
As per details, COVID-19 vaccination certificate will be required for boarding domestic flights from August 1st.
Those without COVID-19 vaccination certificates will not be allowed to board domestic flights after July 31st, said NCOC.
The development comes as Pakistan reported COVID-19 positivity rate of 4.89% on Saturday (today) with 1,841 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
32 COVID-19 related deaths were reported during this time period.
Pakistan’s total COVID-19 tally stands at 1,001,875 cases with 22,971 deaths so far. A total of 924,782 people have successfully recovered from COVID-19 whereas 2,551 are still in critical condition.
Province-wise distribution of COVID-19 cases reveal that the total number of coronavirus patients in Sindh has reached 363,101. In Punjab, the total number of COVID-19 patients is 352,153, in Balochistan 29,451, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 141,495, in Azad Kashmir 22,685, and 7,639 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
