London: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, on Thursday, was moved out of the intensive care unit of St. Thomas’ Hospital, London.
According to government spokesperson, “The Prime Minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery. He is in extremely good spirits.”
Health Secretary Matt Hancock stated, “So good that the prime minister is out of intensive care and on the road to recovery. The NHS is there for us all and I know our amazing NHS staff has given him their characteristic world-class care.”
Johnson was admitted to the hospital on Sunday and was moved to intensive care unit (ICU) after his COVId-19 symptoms worsened.
Britain has imposed a strict lockdown across the country as the number of COVID-19 cases have surpassed 65,872 with 7,993 deaths.
