Matric and intermediate board examinations in remaining federating units have commenced form Saturday (today).
Board examinations for matric and intermediate students have commenced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab and Islamabad.
In KP, 1.415 million students will appear in class 10th and 12th board exams under ight education boards. KP Education Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai has reassured that control rooms have been established to monitor CCTV footages of the examination centers.
A total of 957 centres for five districts of the Peshawar board that included 545 centres in Peshawar, 196 in Charsadda, 86 in Khyber district, 26 in Mohmand, and 104 in Chitral.
Meanwhile, in Punjab matric and intermediate exams are being held under eight education boards including ISE Lahore, BISE Bahawalpur, BISE DG Khan, BISE Faisalabad, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Multan, BISE Rawalpindi, and BISE Sargodha.

Section 144 has been imposed at the exam centers as A psychology paper is scheduled in the morning shift, while students will attempt a statistics paper in the afternoon today.
It is pertinent to know that matric board exams are already underway in Sindh from July 5th which will be followed by intermediate exams.
This year board exams are being held for elective subjects only. students of 9th and 10th grade will only appear in exams for four subjects namely biology, computer science, physics, chemistry and maths.
