PM Imran Khan has called upon international community to take notice of Indian terror financing and ‘rogue behavior’ as proved by its involvement in Lahore’s Johar Town blast.
PM Imran Khan took to social media to accentuate that comprehensive investigation into Lahore’s Johar Town blast incident has revealed that the terrorist attack, its planning and financing links to India.
The prime minister urged the international community to take notice of Indian involvement in financing and sponsoring terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
Global community must mobilize international institutions against this rogue behavior, said PM Imran Khan.
Praising Punjab Police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), civil and military intelligence agencies for their work in apprehending the culprits behind the attack, PM Imran Khan apprised that he has directed his team to hold a press-briefing to bring the findings of Johar Town blast investigation to public domain.
Government Officials Hold Press-Briefing On Johar Town Blast
Later in the day, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting – Fawad Chaudhry, SAPM on National Security Division and Strategic Policy Planning – Dr Moeed Yusuf and Inspector General Punjab Police – Inam Ghani held a press conference in Islamabad over Johar Town blast and its investigation.
Addressing the press briefing, SAPM Moeed Yusuf highlighted the facts indicating towards evident Indian involvement behind Johar Town blast.
Moeed Yusuf stated that forensic analysis, electronic equipment recovered from the terrorists, Pakistani authorities have identified the main mastermind and the handlers of this terrorist attack and there is absolutely no doubt or reservation in informing you that the main mastermind belongs to India’s RAW, who is an Indian national and is residing in India.
Furthermore, Moeed Yusuf revealed that Johar Town attack was followed by thousands of attempts of cyber-attacks against on Pakistan’s critical investigative infrastructure.
Meanwhile, IG Punjab Inam Ghani briefed on the detailed accounts of the June 23rd terrorist attack carried out via vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED).
IG Inam Ghani noted that due to extensive experience in investigating terrorism cases, CTD was able to apprehend key suspects within 16 hours of the incident, but also identified the names of all those involved.
IG Punjab termed Peter Paul David – a resident of Karachi and owner of the vehicle used in the terrorist attack who received instructions from abroad as a ‘key link’ connecting the terrorist attack to the actors abroad.
Whereas Eid Gul, the suspect who parked the VBIED at the incident site is an Afghan national, he spent his entire life in Punjab and has strong linguistic skills to prevent any suspicion, said IG Punjab.
Eid Gul brought over the prepared car from Islamabad on June 23rd via motorway preventing any interaction with travelers and local law enforcement to avoid suspicion, he added.

IG Inam Ghani apprised that all the people involved within Pakistan have been apprehended, while the police are investigating some additional names that surfaced to see whether they are innocent or if they too were involved, whereas details of all the financing, the telephone calls, and WhatsApp calls were gathered by the police.
During the press-briefing audio clips of the telephone exchanges that took place between the conspirators were also played.
Expressing his views, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said there was no ambiguity about the Indian linkage with Lahore terrorist attack.
The federal minister congratulated IG Punjab and termed the busting of the terrorist network as a result of efficient and synergized efforts made by civil and military security and intelligence agencies most notable CTD, MI and ISI.
