At least one frontier corps (FC) soldier has been martyred during an operation in Kharan, Balochistan, reported ISPR on Friday (today).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted a search operation in Kharan district of Balochistan on intelligence reports regarding presence of terrorists.
During the exchange of fire, an FC soldier embraced martyrdom whereas two terrorists were killed by security forces.
The martyred FC soldier has been identified as Sepoy Fida ur Rehman, hailing from Mastuj Tehsil district Chitral, KP.
During the operation, security forces also recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from the terrorists.
The army’s spokesperson also reiterated the resolve and commitment to counter terrorism and protect civilians and prevent loss of lives.
