ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has been made operational by the federal government after the issue between PMDC and was solved by NHS was resolved by the Islamabad High Court, on Tuesday.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani issued the verduct that NHS shall remove security guards from the PMDC to let them perform their responsibilities, whereas retired Brigadier Hafizuddin Siddiqi, PMDC Registrar, was directed to submit report daily to NHS so that the health organization could make objections and present them in the court.
On resolving the matter, the court was informed by the Additional Attorney General Tariq Mehmood Khokhar that federal government would enlighten PMDC about orders passed in January 21, 2018 by the Supreme Court.
The attorney asked for the permission to make amendments in composition of PMDC on which the court directed the government to form ad hoc council that will manage the affairs of PMDC until election.
In 2019, President Arif Alvi dissolved PMDC by promulgation of an ordinance, however, the ordinance was annulled by Mr. Kayani.
