Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated government’s commitment to tackle and address the threat posed by climate change.
Expressing his views at a ceremony regarding Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Program in Haripur, PM Imran Khan accentuated that Pakistan is among top ten countries vulnerable to climate change and hence is taking all essential measures to tackle the threat posed by it.
Our efforts are directed towards providing a better and secured future to our coming generations, he said.
The premier also underscored the fact that various government projects such as Ten Billion Tree Tsunami, national parks’ establishment and restoration of wetlands and wildlife are aimed at ensuring a better environment and provisioning a better and healthy life for the people.

PM Imran also pointed out that these projects will also create new employment opportunities and will also promote tourism in the country.
The ceremony was also attended by SAPM on Climate Change Amin Aslam who briefed the prime minister and the audience about the progress on various ongoing projects.
