Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi arrived in Turkey on Tuesday (today) on a especial mission to garner support and collaborate with the host nation on Palestine issue amid prevailing Israeli aggression.
During his visit, FM Qureshi will meet Turkish and Sudanese counterparts as the three countries aim to highlight Palestine issue and draw international attention to the human rights violations being carried out by Israeli forces in the occupied territory.
The development comes as FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi is address an emergency session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) later this week.
In his address, the foreign minister will reiterate Pakistan’s unconditional support to the Palestine cause and Palestinians in wake of indiscriminate Israeli aggression.

The emergency UNGA session will mull over the alarming situation in Palestine and emerging crisis due to Israeli bombing targeting civilians in Gaza strip.
According to UN spokesman Brenden Varma the session has been scheduled in response to a request from the chairmen of the OIC Group and the Arab Group at the UN made in a joint letter to the Assembly president, Volkan Bozkir of Turkey.
So far more than 200 Palestinians have been martyred including 61 children and 36 women by Israeli forces.
Prior to this, FM Qureshi met Ambassador of Palestine, Mr Ahmed Jawad A.A. Rabaei and reiterated Pakistan’s unconditional support to the Palestine cause.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi categorically condemned Israel’s continuous and indiscriminate attacks resulting in martyrdom and injuries of Palestinians.
