Petrol and diesel prices are expected to rise from May 1.
According to sources, OGRA has sent a summary of increase in prices of petroleum products to the Petroleum Division.
Sources said that OGRA has fixed the proposed prices of petrol and diesel at the current rate of petroleum levy.
Sources said that the current levy on petrol is Rs 11.23 per liter while the levy on diesel is Rs 15.29 per liter.
According to sources, the price of petrol is likely to go up by Rs 6.75 per liter at the beginning of the new month while the price of diesel may go up by Rs 6 per liter.
The final decision on the revision in the prices of petroleum products will be taken by the Ministry of Finance in consultation with the Prime Minister.
